  1. Hi Stacey,

"We as professionals in the early childhood field have an opportunity to shape a child's life for the better."

I like this quote because it speaks volumes, especially if it is in effect. I have learned that even the child with the worse behavior has a heart, and he/she craves just a little love.

  2. Stacey, I chose the same, Sandy Escobido quote for this assignment. It really seems to sum up why we chose this field. It's something we need to remember always.

  3. Hi Stacey,
I really like the Wong quote about teacher effectiveness. That is such a powerful statement. It really obligates us, as educators, to work to become highly effective teachers. To me, this quote is basically saying that, if I am an effective teacher, I have the power to influence children above and beyond those factors that have proven to limit success in children across the country. This tells me that if I am good at what I do, I can influence a child to do and become more than what society expects of him/her. Wow! That's powerful stuff!
